Jeroen (1982) joined Turing as partner in August 2023 and has over 14 years experience in private practice at a law firm and as in-house senior IT and Privacy counsel. Jeroen is specialized in data protection and privacy matters in M&A transactions and complex IT contracting. With extensive (deal-making) experience, he helps clients navigate through any GDPR matters they may encounter.
For NN Group N.V. (large international financial institution) he conducted the privacy due diligence for many large and mid-market deals, coordinated data breaches and contributed to the GDPR program.
Education & work experience
- Jeroen obtained his master’s degree in Corporate law at the University of Leiden
- He started his career at as an attorney-at-law at a medium-sized law firm focusing on corporate law and commercial contracts
- He continued his career at a large international IT company (Internet Service Provider) and a large international insurance company (NN Group B.V.).
- Before joining Turing, Jeroen founded Lawrence Privacy (Due Diligence) & Tech B.V., a boutique advisory law firm specializing in data protection and privacy matters in M&A transactions

Jeroen is a father of a daughter (2012) and a passionate wine and music lover. He used to be a musician and played all the main stages in The Netherlands, including the famous Paradiso in Amsterdam as a main act. His music and the band’s music video’s were frequently played on national radio and television (including TMF / 3FM).
