Seminar “Duty of Care and IT Supplier”

In conflicts between IT suppliers and their customers, we increasingly notice that the special duty of care of the supplier is invoked.

What is the impact of the duty of care on the interpretation of the agreement between parties? Does it bring unpredictable obligations for ICT suppliers? Is it a legitimate fallback option for inexperienced purchasers? On July 14, 2022 from 16:00, Tom de Wit and Esmée Fonville of Turing Advocaten and Joost van Boeschoten of Contrasticon will tell more about this topic.

They will discuss the different phases of an IT project – contracting, implementation/operation and exit. For all these phases, recent case law regarding the special duty of care will be reviewed. Joost van Boeschoten will also provide relevant information on how to get a stalled IT project back on track using the Relationship Spectrum methodology; all in all, a lot of interesting things to attend.

You can register by sending an e-mail message to: morganremijnse@turing.law. If possible please do so before June 30.

Of course, the presentation will be closed with a drink where you can all exchange experiences. The presentation will take place in Spaces Eindhoven (South Building, Schimmelt 2-16, 5611 ZX Eindhoven).
