Seminar “Duty of Care and IT Supplier”

After giving a seminar on the IT supplier’s duty of care in Eindhoven this summer, we have decided to give the seminar again at our location in The Hague, of course supplemented with relevant new case law and insights.

In conflicts between IT suppliers and their customers, we are increasingly finding in our own litigation practice that reliance on the supplier’s special duty of care can be important. What is the impact of the duty of care on the interpretation of the agreement between the parties? Does it impose unpredictable obligations on ICT suppliers? Is it a legitimate fallback option for inexperienced buyers? On November 3, 2022 from 15:00, Tom de Wit and Esmée Fonville will talk more about this topic.

They will discuss the different phases of an IT project – contracting, implementation/operational and exit. For all these phases, recent case law regarding the special duty of care will be reviewed.
You can register by sending an e-mail message to: morganremijnse@turing.law. If possible, please register before October 28.

The presentation will be concluded with drinks where you can all exchange experiences. The presentation will take place at Spaces Den Haag (Zuid-Hollandlaan 7, 2596 AL Den Haag).
